“My friend said ‘give it a go’, and I never left.” Clark said she would always remember the first time she drove a harvester, in 2017. “I drove to the end of the row and tried pushing the break but in a harvester the feet . they don t do anything, they are just foot rests, it is all by your hands!” Clark said.
Scott Hammond/Stuff Clark had come a long way since then, studying and practising at the same time. Constellation Brands offered a cadet programme, open to high school-leavers who were interested in pursuing a career with them. Students spent six months in the vineyards and six months in the cellars, covering all aspects of grape-growing and winemaking.
