As Americans Experience Tsunami Of Grief, It s Time To Understand Grieving As A Lifelong Process

(Mark Lennihan/AP) It’s a holiday season like none in recent memory. The lights are up, we hear the songs, but for millions, there’s also a sense of paralyzing grief. Nearly 320,000 Americans have died of COVID-19, leaving 10 times as many grieving. And of course, millions of loved ones were lost to other causes during the pandemic and like those whose family members died of COVID-19, they’ve been forced to grieve in isolation.
