Earlier this week, the European Medicines Association (EMA) reported it was investigating four cases of blood clots related to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and the company said in a statement that it would be pausing its rollout into Europe.  These announcements have come on the heels of  an ongoing controversy over the AstraZeneca vaccine, which has also been paused or restricted in multiple countries after reports of extremely rare blood clots among people who had received it.
