Aida Cruises has confirmed it will return to the German market this month after the country took new steps to reopen tourism.
The Carnival Corporation-owned line said it would offer short voyages from Kiel (Schleswig-Holstein) from May 22nd.
AIDAsol is currently positioned in northern Germany and is ready for the re-start.

Booking starts on Wednesday, with further details to be announced soon.
Enhanced health and safety protocols - tested by SGS Institut Fresenius and confirmed by the classification society DNV - include a mandatory polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test for all passengers.
There will also be regular health checks, social distancing and hygiene protocols, medical care including testing capacities on board and other measures.

ROSTOCK, Germany, May 7, 2021 AIDA Cruises is extending AIDAperla s Canary Islands season through July, offering new dates for booking beginning May 7, 2021. The new voyages depart from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria on June 12, 19 and 26, 2021.
Currently, AIDAperla is successfully sailing on 7- and 14-day voyages around the Canary Islands. For many months, the Canary Islands have been one of the few vacation destinations in Europe with consistently low incidence levels. AIDA Cruises has announced that it will be offering new cruises in Greece from May 23, 2021, with
seven-day cruises departing from Corfu and traveling through the Greek islands to Crete and Rhodes, as well as to Katakolon (Olympia) and Piraeus (Athens).
Guests will be able to enjoy the amenities onboard with multiple restaurants, bars, cultural activities and sports facilities, as well as organized shore excursions to explore the ports of call.
Greece is one of the most popular vacation destinations for German travelers. From May 14, 2021, the Mediterranean country will reopen for tourism.
Booking starts on Apr. 20, 2021, with 23 dates to choose from between May 23 and October 24, 2021. The Greek cruises can also be booked as 14-day trips, AIDA said.
