Weav raises $4.3M to knit together a universal API for commerce platforms
Weav, which is building a universal API for commerce platforms, is emerging from stealth today with $4.3 million in funding from a bevy of investors, and a partnership with Brex.
Founded last year by engineers Ambika Acharya, Avikam Agur and Nadav Lidor after participating in the W20 YC batch, Weav joins the wave of fintech infrastructure companies that aim to give fintechs and financial institutions a boost. Specifically, Weav’s embedded technology is designed to give these organizations access to “real time, user-permissioned” commerce data that they can use to create new financial products for small businesses.
Brex Now Offers Instant Payouts for Firms Using Stripe, PayPal and Square

Brex, a Fintech that offers cash management services and corporate cards, is now offering “Instant Payouts” for companies using Stripe, PayPal, and Square. The feature was first launched last fall for business customers to gain immediate access to cash generated by their business. Instant Payouts were first introduced to customers on Amazon and Shopify. The feature can eliminate payment delays for Brex customers.

Brex has announced the launch of its
Instant Payouts feature, which is now available for sellers on Shopify, enabling them to instantly access payouts, earn cash back, and “free up cash flow so they can scale their businesses faster.”
Last Fall, Brex introduced its Instant Payouts feature for Amazon sellers. Now, Brex Cash customers on both Shopify and Amazon can “immediately access their sales revenue, obtaining their funds faster rather than waiting out the usual 14-day delay,” according to an update shared with Crowdfund Insider.
