FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Freshman women’s tennis player, Morgan Cross was named UTR ITA Player of the Week, announced by the organization on Wednesday. Cross notched some big wins in singles and doubles last week, helping the Razorbacks to three consecutive sweeps of their opponents, Kansas, Oral Roberts and Kansas State.
Over the course of the action-packed weekend, Arkansas freshman Morgan Cross went undefeated in singles and doubles. Cross started off the weekend with a big win in doubles over No. 49 Ngounoue/Manu of Kansas. Cross and partner Spink clinched the doubles point against the Jayhawks helping the Razorbacks to a perfect 7-0 win.
The Hogs dropped its weekend finale to No. 4 Kentucky, 3-0 on Saturday afternoon (25-15, 25-24, 26-24). The Razorbacks move to 6-4 on the season while the Wildcats advance to 10-0.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas volleyball team has anxiously awaited the second half of its less-than-ordinary 2020-21 season and the day has finally arrived. The Razorbacks are slated to host No. 4 Kentucky this Friday and Saturday (Jan. 29-30) at Barnhill Arena for the Hogs’ opening weekend.
Friday night’s match begins at 5 p.m. and will be available for fans to watch on SEC Network+ while Saturday afternoon’s match will start at 2:30 p.m. and will air live on the SEC Network.
Arkansas finished the fall with a record of 6-2 to record the most SEC wins since 2017 and the best SEC record through eight matches since 2003. The Hogs swept Ole Miss and a ranked Texas A&M team in Barnhill Arena to stay undefeated in Fayetteville and finish the fall 4-0 at home.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas women’s tennis team did an outstanding job at making a statement in its 2021 season opener on Sunday, defeating the SMU Mustangs 5-2 inside the Billingsley Tennis Center.
Arkansas took an early lead after capturing the doubles point early. Freshmen duo Indianna Spink and Morgan Cross dropped their match to Jackie Nylander and Chandler Carter of SMU in the number one spot (6-3), but shortly after Lauren Alter and Jackie Carr would tie the score with a 6-3 win over Winslow Huth and Claudia Bartolome. It would come down to court two, where Razorbacks Kelly Keller and Tatum Rice defeated Mustang pair Hadley Doyle and Nicole Petchey (6-3) to clinch the doubles point for the Hogs.
