A man was rushed to hospital with facial and upper body injuries after he was attacked in an inner-northern Brisbane residential driveway on Friday.
Emergency services were called to the unit complex on Kedron Brook Road in Wilston at 6.40am.
Paramedics, including the specialist high acuity response unit, took the 68-year-old Wilston victim to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition.
Acting Inspector Mick Ackery said police found two men at the scene when they arrived, after a nearby resident called triple-zero.
Police charge a 36-year-old man over a siege incident that lasted 26 hours after he was holed up with a woman and a three-year-old child at a property in Brisbane's southside.
