All of the biscuits were delicious, but I thought Hall s and Brown s fell a little flat. Fieri s recipe, which resulted in beautiful, pillowy biscuits, was my favorite.

Paige Bennett for Insider I tried recipes for 5-minute, 30-minute, and 100-hour brownies to see which one is really worth it. The 5-minute recipe tasted like the TV -dinner version of the classic dessert. The 100-hour recipe was initially intriguing, but I ll stick to making the classic 30-minute one. I always used to take the easy way out by making brownies from a boxed mix and upgrading them with fun mix-ins like caramel or Oreos.

Erum Salam for Insider Houston s historic Alabama Theater was turned into a Trader Joe s in 2012, and I shop there. The art-deco building also housed a bookstore, and some of its original features are still intact. There are some fun decorations located throughout the store to keep the theater theme alive. Grocery shopping can be a burden, but when your supermarket transports you back in time it s a lot more fun.
