What you need to know 500 million LinkedIn profiles had their data scraped. That scraped data is now appearing for sale on a forum. You can preview the data for roughly two dollars worth of forum credit. As reported by CyberNews (via OnMSFT), 500 million profiles on LinkedIn have had their profiles scraped for data. But that s not the worst of it. The worst part is that the data scraper responsible (if it is, in fact, a single actor) is now selling that data, looking for a four-digit minimum price tag in exchange for the goods. It s reported that the scraper is selling the info on a forum and is accepting around two dollars worth of forum credit in exchange for a two-million-profile sized sampling of the data. Pay two bucks, get two million accounts info. It s a heck of a bargain if you want the benefits of LinkedIn without having to actually set up an account and be a social human being.

1 We re back with another Windows Central build video walkthrough. Today, we re taking a look at Windows 10 build 21354 that was just released in the Insider Dev Channel. It s the first co release build, but that doesn t mean there aren t new changes to check out. With this build, Microsoft appears to be polishing and cleaning up a number of UI areas, mainly in the apps list. It s removing many legacy drop down folders and hiding old administrative tools that most people don t use, and also promoting some of the most used legacy Windows utility apps such as Paint and Snipping Tool to the main apps list.

Build 21354 is now available in the Dev Channel. It features notable improvements to news & interests and the apps list. It s the first build to come from the new co release branch. Source: Microsoft Microsoft has rolled out a new Windows 10 preview build for Insiders in the Dev Channel today that brings with it a handful of notable new changes and enhancements. The biggest changes in today s build include a reshuffling of the apps list in the Start menu, hiding some system folders, and promoting legacy utility apps to the main apps list such as Paint and Snipping Tool. In addition, Paint and Snipping Tool are joining Notepad in now being updatable via the Microsoft Store, outside of major OS updates. This means MS can iterate and even add new features to these legacy apps whenever they d like, rather than waiting for the next big Windows OS update to roll around. Paint is also getting a new icon to match the rest of the new Fluent icons introduced over the last few builds.
