In the fifth episode of Survivor South Africa: Immunity Island, we saw a double elimination, as 26-year-old corporate sales executive and entrepreneur Carla Gubb and 36-year-old marketing officer Thoriso M-Africa both saw their torches snuffed. Thoriso had felt like an outcast on her tribe from the start, but she refused to go down without a fight. With the help of Tyson Zulu’s idol parchment, she tried convincing some of her fellow tribemates that she had an idol and wasn’t afraid to use it. However, after she threw Tyson under the bus, she lost the trust of one of the handful of people on her side. In the end, the tribe called Thoriso’s bluff, sending her home.
