this is why you should hire me for four more years. part of what makes this difference is that we have a former president with the record. it s not just a challenger saying here s what i whould do. that s a challenge that biden has to do but he has to talk about what he wants to do. not just say finish the job or here s what i did. when i talk to a lot of democrats in congress, we have a lot to talk about what we have done already. the biden team in the campaign office is doing a lot of the work we have been talking about, but in the white house, one of the things they are really f focused on is the state of the union. what we re going to have over the course of the next couple weeks is the ramp up to the biggest nationally televised address that the president has. the big audience and he s going to talk about things that he wants to do on health care, on taxing millionaires and billionaires more, on cutting costs and fighting inflation. nose things. he s going to talk about this thi
have. if they had gone fully into this by the fall of last year, that it risks getting to be background noise and people getting dulled to it. part of what they say is as we get into spring, you re going to hear more and more of it. by the summer, this will be bringing back things from trump s record and his time as president to say, look what he did when he was president. also look what he said he was going to do that he didn t do. and look at that record. if they had started doing it in september or october when a lot of the political chatter was talking about why aren t they doing it more, it just become part of what was in the ether. and we ll see if they are proved right on this, but that s their theory. we ll see if it works. it s probably the right theory, but this reminds me of when president biden said i need to get out of the country more and sell my plans more. presidents are always hemmed in. it s difficult for them to get out of their bubble as much.
we are not letting the swamp keep the status quo and this hail mary isn t happening. he said he was going to talk live about it. listen to what steve bannon said on a podcast about this. one of the fights we re going to have, a big fight will take place in the spring is try to force nikki on the ticket and say trump needs a woman. if nikki haley is in this administration in any capacity, it will fail. i just want to be clear, she says i m not playing for second she s very much still a candidate for president. it doesn t mean these other conversations are not happening. what do you make of the pushback. they are trying to diminish her as a serious presidential candidate. it s one way of doing that. the pushback is extraordinary she was one of the few who newscast getted the complicateden obstacle of leaving the trump administration. she emerged stronger than she arrived, which most of his nominees were not.
