On 26 May, Myanmar Pressphoto Agency (MPA) video journalist Hmue Yadanar Khet Moh Moh Tun, who was seriously injured in the head when Military Council soldiers drove a car into peacefully protesting youth, was sentenced to 10 years in prison under Section 50 (j) of the Counter-Terrorism Law by Thingangyun District Court.
Ko Lin Htet Naing (aka James), a former leader of All Burma Federation of Student Unions (ABFSU) and political activist was sentenced by the Myanmar junta to five more years in prison under section 52 (b) of the counter-terrorism law on 13 February, according to his wife Phyo Phyo Aung.
Yangon Revolution Force (YRF) has announced that two of its members Sit Zaw Kan and Banyar Soe Htet were sentenced to 74 years in prison each by the Military Council authorities.
