Deadly Wreck At Same Site Where Minnesota DNR Officer Was Killed

Grand Rapids, MN (KROC AM News) - There has been another deadly traffic wreck at the same intersection where a Minnesota DNR officer was recently killed and this one involved an ambulance.
It happened just after 10:00 am Tuesday in rural Itasca County and killed at least one person and seriously injured both drivers.

The Minnesota State Patrol report on the accident indicates a dump truck struck the passenger side of the ambulance
“in a T-bone style crash.”
The truck was driven by 67-year-old Jeffery Ekholm of Nashwauk. The ambulance driver was identified as 28-year-old Kimberly Hake of Cohasset. Their injuries were described as life-threatening.
