With its office Christmas party cancelled because of COVID-19, Inland Concrete in Regina found itself with an extra $1,200. Operations manager Rob Young spent the money on more than 50 frozen turkeys, which were donated to the Regina Food Bank and Souls Harbour.
Like many businesses, Inland Concrete in Regina is not having an office Christmas party thanks to COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings.
As a result, operations manager Rob Young had some extra cash on hand that he wanted to put to good use.
He had about $1,200 to work with and could tell that for many people, the holidays were going to be difficult.
