Controlled burn wildfire scorches 13 acres in Indian Creek area

The following is a news release from the Inkom Volunteer Fire Department.
INKOM The Inkom Volunteer Fire Department responded to its second controlled burn wildfire in three days Friday.
The fire started at around 1 p.m. in the vicinity of Indian Creek Road and quickly spread uphill to the northwest, potentially threatening two homes.
After a quick assessment, the Inkom Fire Department requested mutual aid and resources from the North Bannock and Pocatello Valley Fire Departments as well as from the US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management arrived to assist.
