PITTSBURGH – Two defendants have been dismissed from litigation brought by a Western Pennsylvania man who allegedly suffered a number of health complications and diminished value of his property, after nearby fracking operations were conducted.
PITTSBURGH – In response to litigation brought by a Western Pennsylvania man who allegedly suffered a number of health complications and diminished value of his property, an oil company has argued that any contamination the plaintiff suffered did not come from its well.
Earlier this year the federal EPA approved a new injection well for Plum Borough in Allegheny County, PA (see Federal EPA Approves Permit for Plum, PA Wastewater Injection Well). Although federal approval is necessary, so too is state approval. The PA Dept. of Environmental Protection (DEP) held a public hearing Monday night to elicit input.
