Police To Parade Uduak, Suspected Killer Of Akwa Ibom Job Seeker On Friday The Commissioner of Police, CP Andrew Amiengheme, also refuted claims that the suspect committed suicide while in custody. by SaharaReporters, New York May 13, 2021 The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has announced that Uduak Frank Akpan, the suspected killer of a job seeker, Iniubong Umoren will be paraded on Friday to dismiss rumour of his death in custody. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Odiko Macdon, who made this known in a telephone conversation with SaharaReporters, lamented that people are frustrating police s efforts.  He explained that it is not possible for the police to allow a suspect to commit suicide in detention.

ADVERTISEMENT The body of Iniubong Umoren, the 26-year-old University of Uyo Philosophy graduate, who was raped and killed by a fake job recruiter, has been buried. Miss Umoren, an orphan, was buried on Friday at her hometown, Nung Ita, Ikot Essien in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. The victim was kidnapped, raped and killed in April while honouring a fake job interview in the suburbs of the state capital, Uyo. The suspect, Uduak Akpan, described as a “serial rapist”, is being detained at the police headquarters in Uyo.

News of the release of the 27 kidnapped students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna State, no doubt, calls for celebration. These students spent 50 good days in the camp of their captors. We saw them being beaten and assaulted in a trending video released by their kidnappers.  It doesn’t matter if two of the 29 students said to be in the bandits’ enclave after their abduction on March 11, 2021 are yet to be accounted for.
