San mateo taking action against businesses that repeatedly violate the coronavirus regulations. Good evening everyone. Beginning tomorrow, a task force will begin investigating complaints and businesses that do not comply could face 3000 funds. Our reporter here now with more on how this will work. This new Compliance Team will persist the people who already work for the county but in a different capacity. It will not be comprised of any law enforcement. This is something that is aimed solely at businesses that continue to flout the law by not adhering to things like mask rules and social distancing. Even in some cases, operating illegally. Safely socially distanced himself. One of the things we have really enjoyed during the coronavirus lockdown is coming out to ocean beach. Bringing our bikes. Getting to ride up and down. Having that free space. 2 locals who wish to remain anonymous started a website. The started collecting signatures to make this a permanent part. One organizer said that 70 percent of the signatures are from residence. The other 30 percent are from suffers and cyclist. I think that is a great idea. The more we can diversify transportation and provide options for people to safely ride a skateboard or walk, and be able to take in the great views of the ocean are terrific.
