The open air theatre productions heading to Rainford

Two open air theatre productions will be taking to the stage in Rainford this summer giving audiences the chance to enjoy some William Shakespeare and Rudyard Kipling. The Cherry Orchard Tearoom at Inglenook Farm will host Folksy Theatre’s The Tempest on Sunday, July 18 at 7pm and Immersion Theatre Company’s The Jungle Book at 2pm on Saturday, August 7. There will also be the monthly live jazz night, featuring The Danny Miller Little Big Band, on Sunday, July 25 between 6pm and 8pm. Tickets for The Jungle Book, which are priced at £12 for children, £15 for adults and £48 for a family, are available by visiting here

Where to spot the Gruffalo and more Julia Donaldson characters in St Helens CHILDREN and families have been going on walks to spot the Gruffalo, at its new home on Inglenook Farm. If you go down to the woodland around the farm off the Rainford bypass, which houses several businesses, characters from popular Julia Donaldson books can be spotted for all to enjoy.   They were created by Tony Cowley and donated to Inglenook Farm for residents to enjoy. Steve Holmes, owner of Inglenook Farm, said: When Tony got in touch and said he had these characters he d carved and would we like them we were made up to visit Inglewood to see them and were delighted with them and arranged for them to be brought to Inglenook Farm.
