Infosys CEO Salil Parekh BENGALURU: Infosys CEO Salil Parekh said the future workplace will be a hybrid one, but said the company s employees will return to office in a sustainable way in the coming months, unlocking the power of social capital in a post-pandemic world. “We are now making sure that it is the right time.for us to work in a work environment. The flexibility will remain critical, and even as we go forward, let’s say when we get past the Covid situation, the flexibility will allow our employees to work from different locations at different times. Having said that, we also feel that the concept of social capital is extremely important. We will have more and more work from the office environment. We have built different models. We have not defined exact contours,” he said at the Infosys Media Day held virtually on Tuesday.

Stressing on the importance of digitisation of the economy, Infosys Co-founder and Chairman Nandan Nilekani said consumerisation has led to a dramatic change in how digital is adopted. “Earlier, technology was focused on enterprise, but with the arrival of smartphones, it became the engine of innovation in the world. So consumerisation of technology has led to a dramatic change in how digitisation would change us,” said Nilekani at the Infosys Media Day 2020 event on Tuesday.
