LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Monday submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly demanding removal of Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan from her post.
The resolution was submitted by PML-N leader Hina Butt. The resolution stated that this House strongly condemns humiliation of the female Assistant Commissioner by Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan.
The resolution termed Dr Firdous’s attitude towards the female officer as very regrettable and said that this attitude has also caused a wave of concern in the bureaucracy.

Punjab provincial cabinet has decided to increase the number of oxygen beds and ventilators in hospitals across the province on emergency basis.
Briefing newsmen in Lahore about decisions taken in cabinet meeting, Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said the cabinet has decided to tighten further restrictions in high positive rates cities to protect the lives of the people.
She said a complete lockdown is proposed before Eid ul fiter in high rate cities including Lahore while a special cabinet committee has been constituted to make final recommendations for complete lockdown. The recommendations will be discussed at the NCOC meeting.

LAHORE: SACM on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said the Punjab government is working to provide relief to the people under the Ramazan package while ensuring strict implementation of price control mechanism. In a statement here Wednesday, Firdous said Chief Minister Usman Buzdar is actively working to monitor the situation of demand and supply of edibles to provide benefits to the masses. She said the chief minister has directed to contact flour mills associations to stabilise the price of flour.
