Were following Breaking News on the president s former fixer and lawyer, Michael Cohen, and the russia investigation. Two Court Filings just released, one by the Special Counsel, Robert Mueller, the other by prosecutors in new york, and theres new information about cohens cooperation. What it could mean for President Trump and for Michael Cohen as the feds in new york argue he should get substantial prison time. Right now, Robert Mueller also is set to file a secret document on Paul Manafort, the former Trump Campaign chairman, and why prosecutors believe manafort lied. Theres lots of news to unfold right now. I want to go first to our
political correspondent sara murray. Sara, muellers document makes it clear that Michael Cohen was cooperating but hes not necessarily suggesting he shouldnt get a substantial prison sentence. No, i think theres

of investigations? well, in the short term, it is most like ly to see indictments against jerome corsi, because he disclosed the plea offer to the public and a good prosecutor does not make a plea offer unless he is prepared to back it up with a charge. so it is almost certain that jerome corsi is going to be charged, and if you are looking at the pleadings, his conduct was intertwined with roger stone, and so charges against roger stone is likely. and in the longer term, it is what it has always been about, can you connect the trump campaign with the russians main the election. that is the piece that is missing and we will look to see that i think that some of the documents in the flynn case, and in the cohen case suggest they have information core to the investigation which relates to the subject, and so if they are able to pull it altogether, we may see the charges, and if not, and robert mueller concludes that there was no such collusion, then those who have faith in robert muell
so i think most certainly he will be charged. his charges will false statements relating to his conversations with roger stone about wikileaks, and so it could also be that we see charges against roger stone in the near future. and then of course, down the road there s certainly lots that he knows that has not yet been revealed publicly. we have seen in the documents involving michael flynn and michael cohen that they ve both shared information core to the investigation. so i think that that could either yield more indictments or information contained in that report. tom dupree, somebody who our viewers here at msnbc as well as fox news know pretty well, had something interesting to say this morning on this network, and i want to play it. i think 2019 is going to bring a whole host of new legal battles for this administration. we obviously know the mueller investigation is moving ahead. we know that there are different pieces of this, the cohen piece and other pieces. of course we
