Chase Smith, son, husband, warrior and faithful servant, laid to rest: He will live on Dana Hunsinger Benbow, Indianapolis Star
GREENWOOD The day was unfairly perfect, sunny and 64 degrees, a gentle breeze blowing, a windchime nearby making its own melody as birds chirped in the background.
Or maybe the day was perfect because when the people he loved most would lay him to rest, Chase Smith didn t want gloominess.
It was early evening as the line of cars rolled slowly into Mt Pleasant Cemetery, an old burial place established in 1830, with small hills and modest homes surrounding it.
Chase s casket was unloaded next to a line of pine trees. His wife, Sadie, stood next to his parents Kelli and Brad, sister Kaitlin, Sadie s parents and her sister, a wall of people who loved him most.
