AN independence supporting folk-pop duo are to release their debut album after gaining a fan base at Yes marches prior to the coronavirus pandemic. Brothers Iain and Andrew Mundy started out as a duo called Braw at the beginning of 2019, becoming a familiar sight at independence marches before the lockdowns began. Their first song Home from Home was shared round independence groups, featuring lyrics by Iain’s wife, Steph, who wrote of her experience of moving from England to Scotland. Braw’s second single, Whisky in Hand reached number 65 in the Official Scottish Singles Chart, and peaked at 50 in the Official iTunes Chart. It received substantial radio airplay including on BBC Radio Scotland’s The Afternoon Show, Celtic Music Radio, CamGlen FM, and featured as single of the week on The Max and Chief Radio Scotland.
