They called for a strong, sensible and effective Border Security policy calling the president s wall expensive and ineffective. The president said he would be proud to shut the government down to fight for the border wall. Congress will gavel back into session at noon on saturday but the house will give 24 hours notice before a vote. So the soonest this could be resolved would be sunday. The white house says it will be a short ordeal. But sources say it could take a while and both parties preparing for a lengthy shut down.
