The Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Mr Mamman Nami has been indicted for aiding tax evasion by oil companies running into trillions of Naira, according to report of the House of Representatives ad hoc Committee investigating the Structure and Accountability of Joint Venture (JV) Business and Production Sharing Contract (PSC) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPCL). The report which also indicted several oil companies for alleged tax evasion, also recommended for the arrest and prosecution of the FIRS chairman, Mr Nami.
