ISLAMABAD, April 27 (Gwadar Pro)-Board of Investment (Pakistan) in collaboration with China Council for International Investment Promotion (CCIIP) and China National Textile & Apparel Council (CNTAC) will be organizing “CPEC Industrial Cooperation Textile B2B Webinar Today (April 27th).
The webinar, in addition to receiving extensive support, will also have active participation from the Ministry of Commerce, China & China International Engineering Consulting Corporation (CIECC).
CIECC has been appointed by the National Development & Reforms Commission, China (NDRC) for carrying out Industrial Diagnosis studies of the priority sectors under CPEC-Industrial Cooperation. The first of which targeted the textile sector and was conducted in October 2019.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China has initiated consultation on the ‘framework agreement’ for industrial cooperation to develop B2B joint ventures, realise Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and industrialisation under the second phase of CPEC, officials said on Tuesday.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan has already given approval to it. After consultation, both the countries will formally sign this framework agreement,” a senior official said.
On Tuesday, representatives from both the countries held the fifth meeting of Joint Working Group (JWG) on industrial cooperation under CPEC through video conference.

Joint Working Group on CPEC Agrees on Framework Agreement on Industrial Cooperation
The 5th meeting of the Joint Working Group (JWG) on Industrial Cooperation (IC) under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was held via video conference regarding the Framework Agreement on CPEC Industrial Cooperation (IC).
It was co-chaired by Additional Secretary and Executive Director General of Board of Investment (BOI), Khashih-ur-Rehman, and Director General of National Development & Reform Commission (NDRC), People’s Republic of China, Ying Xiong.
Officials from line ministries, provincial governments, and embassies also attended the meeting.
