In view of the sudden increase in cases, the health department has instructed officials to organise mock drills on April 10 and 11 for preparations to deal with the disease.
Below 500 cases for the past two days; positivity too dropped below 5 percent. The total number of active cases has also dropped to 5,400 again after a month.
During the day 10,469 samples were put to test. Positivity rate was reported at 12.33%. Total number of positive patients reached 1,61,929. Toll remained at 1,397 as no death was reported during the day.
