Families who lost relatives in Indonesia’s Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 flight plane crash on January 30 sued Boeing for operating a ‘defective and a dangerous aircraft’. At least three Indonesian families of the victims killed onboard SJ-182 air carrier, filed a lawsuit against the Chicago-based aerospace firm with the Circuit Court of Cook County in Illinois on January 25, United States Wisner Law Firm said in a release. Family members looking for settlement claimed in the lawsuit that the 737-500 plane models have a fatal malfunction that caused the flight to auto-dive and plunge into the Java Sea bed, off the Indonesian coast, north of Jakarta just minutes after the takeoff. As divers restarted their hunt for its second black box, the remains of the flight attendant who was recovered from the site of Indonesian plane crash was buried in a Jakarta cemetery, where sobbing friends and relatives filed on the burial site.
The 29-year-old, Okky Bisma, was the first confirmed victim of the disaster on Saturday as the fingerprints from his retrieved hand match those on the identity database of the government.
The crashed Indonesia passenger jet before the incident happened, the Sriwijaya Air Boeing 737-500 were carrying 62 crews and passengers, which includes 10 children, when it plunged around10,000 feet (3,000 meters) in less than a minute before slamming into the Java Sea after taking off from Jakarta.

Indonesian rescuers pulled out body parts, pieces of clothing and scraps of metal from the Java Sea early Sunday morning, a day after a Boeing 737-500 with 62 people onboard crashed shortly after takeoff from Jakarta, officials said.
