COVID-19 positive cases surge across Assam CORRESPONDENTS BAKSA: Two persons on Saturday tested COVID-19 positive in Kumarikata area along the Indo-Bhutan border under Tamulpur subdivision and two others in Tamulpur in the district of Baksa. The two persons have been identified as Kishori Sharma (52) of Darangamela Garage Line and Rakesh Murmu (34) of Sukanjuli village. On the other hand, one person named Ritu Kalita (35) of Dongragaon village and Jyotish Kalita (58), who came from Guwahati to get COVID vaccine, tested positive during testing at Tamulpur Primary Health Centre on Saturday. There are 36 active cases in different parts of Tamulpur subdivision in Baksa district.
