No date set for full return to in-person Indio City Council meetings
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Indio City Council has taken a hybrid approach to its meetings. But, now that vaccinations have considerably reduced the spread of the virus and city agencies are considering reopening to the public, Indio leaders have not yet decided when the public will once again be allowed at council sessions.
Like other cities in the Coachella Valley, Indio set up a way for council to communicate with each other and broadcast its meetings virtually last year because of the pandemic. It has livestreamed meetings on their city website and Facebook ever since.
