The Indian Navy will hold a seminar at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan on October 4 and 5 where a range of India-made technologies will be displayed. Officials from more than 50 countries are expected to attend the Swavlamban seminar.
Showcasing the 75 new technologies from ultra endurance swarm drones to firefighting systems and blue-green lasers for underwater applications will underline the Navy’s progress since it announced, at the seminar’s maiden edition last year, to develop the new technologies as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The roadmap will be released at the second edition of the annual Swavlamban seminar to be held on October 4 and 5, Navy officials said on Wednesday adding Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the conclave. At a media briefing, Vice Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral Sanjay Jasjit Singh said the Navy resolved to develop 75 technologies at the Swavlamban seminar last year and the aim has been achieved.
