Another apology to residential school survivors is being planned in Labrador this fall, with Premier Andrew Furey set to apologize to survivors in Nunatsiavut.
In a ceremony six years in the making, Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Andrew Furey apologized Friday in Cartwright, on Labrador's southern coast, to residential school survivors and the NunatuKavut people on behalf of the provincial government.
Arguments over Inuit identity have taken the forefront in Labrador, after the provincial government planned an apology to NunatuKavut members who attended residential schools.
