Indian students who had to leave studies midway as they fled the Russia-Ukraine conflict will be offered admission in Russian universities without them losing out on their previous academic years, a Russian envoy said on Sunday.
"We appealed for an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine and for the adoption of dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the problem," Modi said at a press briefing in Copenhagen.
Boasting about government's achievement, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said Operation Ganga which was undertaken to evacuate stranded Indians from war-torn Ukraine was one of the most well-coordinated and successful evacuation missions.
At least 15-20 Indians are in conflict-hit Ukraine and they are waiting to be evacuated, the government said today. It assured that evacuation flights under Operation Ganga "are not over".
