This year part of the 5 1 2 mile boardwalk reopened after it was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy and the rest expected to be open by next summer. The boardwalk built with stronger supports and Higher Elevation. The entire reconstruction project expected to be completed by 2017. Of course, no need to wait until then.
