Anita Gupta, a physician and researcher at IUPUI and the Communication, Community, and Public Relations Chair for the Hindu Temple of Central Indiana, says that their food distribution event today, Saturday March 13, is an extension of Hindu values of service that promotes the intersection between religion, culture and the humanities.
âAs people are still trying to recover from this pandemic,â she says, âand trying to find jobs to help bring food to the table for their loved ones, we feel that this service will help them at least enjoy a good meal without thinking where the next meal will come from.â
