Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officers are investigating a shooting that left one person dead early Sunday.
Just after 3 a.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 3500 block of North Arlington Avenue on the city s east side, according to a press release. Officers later received a call of a walk-in person with a gunshot wound at Indianapolis Fire Department Station #24 on East 38th Street, less than a mile away from the initial call, and another of a walk-in person with a gunshot wound at Community East Hospital at 1500 N. Ritter Ave.
