United Way of Central Indiana issues grants

The United Way says the funding, which is supported by Indianapolis-based Lilly Endowment Inc., will help in the recovery from the pandemic. UWCI says workgroups made up of community relations staff and county representatives analyzed needs and offered funding recommendations for food, housing, health, transportation, mental health and support for youth and seniors.  “We are honored to receive funding from United Way of Central Indiana,” said Matt Wilson, executive director of the Boone County Mentoring Partnership. “This grant will be used to further engage youth and children in meaningful ways through mentoring, promote mental w
