Winter weather conditions could affect roadways

By DeSherion McBroom Dec 31, 2020 6:34 PM TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) With precipitation on the way and temperatures falling overnight, road conditions in some areas could be dicey. During the first snow storm of the season which hit the area two weeks ago, around nine accidents occurred with one of those being fatal. Highway departments have already began to prepare for tonight s conditions hoping to keep roads clear into Friday as inclement weather moves in. We got the trucks out last night in the other districts and trying to get everything prepared and ready to go, said Sullivan County Commissioner John Waterman. We do a lot of intersections coming up on four way stops and bridges.
