The Commissioners will discuss a proposed bid on the Mile Hill Section of the Hoodlebug Trail while also discussing the possible distribution of $50,000 in CARES Act Revolving Loan Funds for NCK, Inc. and Wolfie’s Pub & Club in Indiana. Today’s meeting will be held over Zoom video conferencing services and it is scheduled for 10:30. Your Hometown Radio Stations will provide coverage on the meeting this afternoon.

COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DISCUSS VACCINATIONS DURING MEETING ON WEDNESDAY

The Indiana County Commissioners addressed the subject of vaccinations during their meeting Wednesday morning. During his Covid-19 update, Emergency Management Director Tom Stutzman said that coronavirus-related numbers are going in the right direction, but the pace needs to pick up when it comes to getting people vaccinated.  Stutzman said that Indiana County is lagging behind compared with neighboring counties concerning the total number of people getting vaccinated.   Stutzman said that the number of vaccines being made available is increasing, as is the number of locations where people can get vaccine. As far as vaccine hesitancy goes, County Commissioner Sherene Hess said that it was important that people can get vaccinated so that things can return to normal.

CHAMBER TO HOST STATE OF COUNTY ADDRESS BY INDIANA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

The Voice of Indiana County CHAMBER TO HOST STATE OF COUNTY ADDRESS BY INDIANA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS By Hometown2 The Indiana County Commissioners will hold a state of the county event today. During the event, Commissioners will not only comment on the current and future status of Indiana County, but they will also answer questions from the public.  Indiana County Chamber President Mark Hilliard said that some of the questions will focus on the county’s response to the pandemic and some financial aid coming to the county.   The event is scheduled to start at 9:00 this morning and will be streamed on the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page.
