Indian expat leaves Oman after 42 years By: Times News Service Muscat: Any sports activities organised at the Indian Social Club Oman (ISC) meant one name – Imtiaz Usman. Imtiazbhai, as he is popularly known as, has been involved with the ISC for more than four decades as a board member and an office-bearer. After spending 42 years in Oman, Imtiazbhai bids adieu to his second home and returns to his native place, Belgaum in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. Acknowledging his yeoman services to ISC sports and the club, Dr Sathish Nambiar, Hon Chairman of the Indian Social Club, Oman, and the board recently felicitated him with the ISC Indian of the Year 2021.

Science Project Contest and webinar organised By: Times News Service Muscat: Muscat Science Fest, the science and technology arm of the Indian Social Club Kerala Wing, organised a science fair, called Science Project Contest - 2020 (SPC 2020) and an exhibition & competition of science projects for the students in Oman through the online platform on December 18 and 19. Dr Felix Bast, a renowned scientist and member of the Indian Antarctic Exploration Team and Assistant Professor at the Central University of Punjab inaugurated the Science Fair. Indian Social Club Oman Chairman Dr Satish Nambiar, Indian Social Club Cultural and Entertainment Secretary and Observer to Kerala Wing Saji Abraham and Indian Schools BOD former Chairman Wilson George, were congratulated the participants.

Stage set for Muscat Science Fest Science Project Contest By: Times News Service MUSCAT: Muscat Science Fest, the science and technology arm of the Indian Social Club Kerala Wing, is organising a science fair for students in Oman called Science Project Contest - 2020 (SPC 2020) and an exhibition and competition of science projects through the online platform on December 18 and 19 from 9am to 2pm. This time the event is organised using the online platform TouchQ. About 300 projects were received from various schools in Oman. The top 30 projects have been selected for the competition. The organisers have announced attractive prizes for the best projects and all the preparations for this event have been completed.
