Hundreds of students, teachers and other school employees across the Treasure Coast have tested positive for the coronavirus since the school year began in August.
The St. Lucie and Martin county school districts update their COVID-19 dashboards daily. Indian River County schools issue news releases to announce new cases, and an archive of the releases can be found here.
TCPalm is tracking the data from all three school districts, and each week will update this page to reflect the number of new cases and the total number of cases since August.
A "Parental Bill of Rights" sounds like a good idea, but the rights enumerated in this bill already exist under law. What this bill adds to those rights could relitigate fights over masks in schools, extend the length of the pandemic, and out LGBTQ youth who have not yet come out to their parents.
