Dr. Sheth, director of the Woman of the Year Awards Gala, will also serve as hostess of the evening. Ms. Pant and Ms. Madan will conduct the evening and award ceremonies as Masters of Ceremonies. Aditi Soni: From Bringing Rare Disease Drugs to Community Service via Saheli and United India Association

INDIA New England News Aditi Soni BOSTON- A woman who never takes NO as an answer in life, Aditi Soni works hard to empower the women in her community. As President of the United India Association of New England (UIANE) and a Board Member of Saheli Boston, Ms. Soni has been at the forefront of many important support initiatives run by both organizations, in a year where everyone’s lives were effected by the coronavirus pandemic. From UIANE’s “COVID-19 Relief Fund” that delivered hundreds of meals and groceries to the elderly and the front-line workers, to its virtual ‘Participate and Learn’ series to keep their community physically and mentally strong, to working with the Indian Medical Association of New England (IMANE) and the India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) to host a community awareness webinar for the COVID-19 vaccine, Ms. Soni has been instrumental to these initiatives.

Current IMANE President and EC To Continue in 2021, Hosts Virtual Gala With Raj Sharma, Honors High Achievers for 2020

INDIA New England News BOSTON Indian Medical Association of New England, known as IMANE, held its 42 nd annual gala virtually this year due to COVID-19 pandemic, and re-elected current executive committee, including its president, for another term in 2021. Raj Sharma, managing director of Wealth Management and Head of The Sharma Group, served as the chief guest and keynote speaker. Due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, IMANE was unable to offer most of its usual activities in person, including the Spring CME Educational Program, Health Stop Clinic services, and the Annual Gala in 2020, said IMANE President Dr. Dhrumil Shah. The IMANE Executive Committee and Board of Trustees recommended to consider 2020 to be a ‘non-year’, he added.
