It appealed to the government to upscale the preparedness "for any such situation as seen in 2021" by issuing necessary instructions to the concerned Ministries and Departments to make available the emergency medicines, oxygen supply, and ambulances.
“The difference between NEET PG 2022 exam date and completion of 2021 counseling is too short for an aspirant to prepare and appear for an extremely difficult exam like NEET PG,” IMA said in its letter to the health ministry.
Office bearers of IMA said that a doctor cannot be accused of medical negligence in any such incident, without proper investigation by an expert committee.
