Mangaluru, Jun 10: Non-Resident Indian Kannadigas have appreciated the move of deputy commissioner (DC) Dr Rajendra K V for directing the concerned authorities to ensure vaccination of NRIs in the district.
In a video conference organised by the Indian Red Cross Society along with the DC on May 30, several NRIs expressed their problems. NRIs in the video conference stated, âThere is a requirement of vaccines for the NRIs. There are several people who are working abroad. Several people from the district are working in the gulf. Those NRIs who returned back to India on leave, cannot go back without availing two doses of the vaccine. Several NRIs are not getting vaccines at the appropriate time. And hence, they are in fear of losing their jobs.â
