India s North Eastern Region (NER) witnessed an 85.34 per cent growth in the export of agricultural products in the last six years, revealed India s Commerce and Industry ministry.
Export from the region increases from USD 2.52 million in 2016-17 to USD 17.2 million in 2021-22. The major destinations of export have been Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Middle East, the UK and Europe.

Dimapur, Aug. 29 (EMN): Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, which is setting up an entrepreneurship development centre (EDC) at Kohima under the Sankalp Scheme, conducted a five-day training of trainers programme at IIE Campus, Guwahati, from August 22 to the 26th. An update informed that the programme is sponsored by the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Nagaland. “With the set up of EDC it will promote entrepreneurship and enhance the entrepreneurial eco-system and create a robust road map for the growth of entrepreneurs in Nagaland,” Director, IIE, Dr. Lailt Sharma, said in his address on the concluding day of the training programme.
