India had attracted total FDI of $4.53 billion in the corresponding month in the previous year. FDI equity inflow grew 60 per cent YoY to $4.44 billion during April 2021 from $2.77 billion a year ago. Measures taken by the government on the fronts of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) policy reforms, investment facilitation and ease of doing business have resulted in increased FDI inflows into the country, the commerce ministry said in a statement.
