The survey showed that at the national level, enrolments of students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) increased to 58.94 lakh in 2020-21 from 46.06 lakh in 2014-15, a surge of 28%.
In the section on India's inclusive growth, the economic survey said that the country is the third-largest economy in the world in terms of purchasing power parity.
The universities of national importance doubled in the country, and the female enrolment reached two crores mark, as the government released the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2020-2021 on Sunday, the Ministry of Education stated in a press release.
