Andhra Pradesh Government Accuses Ex-Union Health Secretary Preeti Sudan Of Misusing Position To Derive Personal Gain

Preeti Sudan retired from service on July 31 last year, after a three-month extension. Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday issued an order asking former Union Health Secretary Preeti Sudan to explain why disciplinary proceedings under relevant rules should not be initiated against her, close to seven months after the 1983 batch IAS officer retired from service. The order was issued by Chief Secretary Aditya Nath Das. The Andhra Pradesh government accused her of violating the provisions of the All India Service (Conduct) Rules, 1968. It also accused the retired bureaucrat of misusing her position in order to derive personal gain, contrary to the rules, regulations and established practices.

Share Via Email   |  A+A A- By Express News Service VIJAYAWADA: The State government has sought an explanation from retired IAS officer of the AP state cadre Preeti Sudan on alleged misuse of her position during her tenure as Union Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, to derive personal gain. The State government, through a GO issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on Tuesday, sought the explanation of the retired bureaucrat as she allegedly violated the provisions of All India Service (Conduct) Rules, 1968  by converting the Extraordinary Leave (EOL) as Earned Leave/Half Pay Leave by influencing the subordinates under her control, without competency and without concurrence of the cadre controlling authority AP government and Department of Personnel & Training, (DoPT) of the Central government.

Vigilance clearance to be denied for late submission Mohinder Verma JAMMU, Jan 2: Several IAS officers of Jammu and Kashmir cadre are openly flouting the instructions of Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) of Government of India and General Administration Department (GAD) of Union Territory on online filing of Immovable Property Returns (IPRs) despite being aware of the fact that non-compliance may lead to disciplinary proceedings and denial of vigilance clearance. The Department of Personnel and Training of Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions vide D.O No.6 (1)2014-EO (PR) dated December 22, 2016 intimated that because of submission of hard copies of Immovable Property Returns certain problems like IPR getting lost in transition, IPR though submitted but not up-loaded by the State Government, IPR without date uploaded in the system, ante-dating of IPR etc are being faced.
