While speaking on the sidelines of the launch of the company s new surface mount semiconductor packaging line, CDIL Executive President and Chief Operating Officer Pankaj Gulati told PTI that the company has started exporting Silicon Carbide (SiC) components to China, the US, Europe and Australia. "We are the first company in India to have started manufacturing of Silicon Carbide semiconductors. We have started shipping them to China, US, Europe and Australia," Gulati said.
With India’s semiconductors consumption pegged to cross $80 billion by 2026 and $110 billion by 2030, India is seriously pursuing its dream of becoming a global hub in the semiconductor space. This was the general feeling in the first day of SemiconIndia 2022.
Ahead of the inaugural industry conference, SemiconIndia 2022, union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar, talking to BT, highlights the importance of the conference along with other developments in India’s Semicon Mission.
